Our seasoned professionals average over a decade of experience within the healthcare industry with expertise that rests firmly in the middle-market, where we have completed over 250 transactions with an aggregate transaction value over $65 billion.
Our experience within the healthcare middle-market extends beyond investment banking to include private equity, transactional law, and management consulting. We have also worked with healthcare companies at the board and operational levels to formulate and execute key strategic, operational, and financial objectives.
Our leadership team actively participates in every facet of our transactions from initial engagement through closing and is supported by a talented group of junior investment banking professionals.
Bo Hinton is a Managing Director with Coker Capital Advisors. Prior to Coker Capital Advisors, Mr. Hinton spent 10 years in principal investing and investment banking within the middle market segment of the healthcare industry. Previously, Mr. Hinton was with Carousel Capital Partners, a leading middle market private equity fund with approximately $800 million in capital under management. During his tenure at Carousel, Mr. Hinton evaluated healthcare companies for investment or acquisition by the firm and completed numerous transactions including mergers and acquisitions; debt, equity, and real estate financings; joint ventures; and debt restructuring. Prior to Carousel, Mr. Hinton worked in the healthcare investment banking group at Wachovia (now Wells Fargo Securities) where he executed mergers and acquisitions as well as public and private equity and debt financing for middle market healthcare companies and investor groups.
Mr. Hinton earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics Modified from Dartmouth College where he was a four-year member of the varsity football team, including the 1996 undefeated Ivy League championship team. While at Dartmouth, Mr. Hinton completed studies at Oxford University as well as internships with Morgan Stanley and Merrill Lynch. Mr. Hinton also holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
McNeill Wester is a Managing Director with Coker Capital Advisors. He brings over two decades of investment banking and legal experience to the firm. Prior to joining Coker Capital Advisors, Mr. Wester worked in investment banking with a focus on executing mergers and acquisitions for middle market companies at McColl Partners (now Deloitte Corporate Finance) and Fennebresque & Co. where he served as a Managing Director, General Counsel, and Founding Partner. Previously, he practiced law at Moore & Van Allen, where he advised clients on corporate and securities matters. Prior to beginning his legal career, he was a Financial Analyst in the investment banking division of First Union Capital Markets (now Wells Fargo Securities).
Mr. Wester received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Psychology from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Juris Doctorate from the School of Law at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he served as an editor on the North Carolina Banking Journal. Outside of Coker Capital, he is active in his support of The University of North Carolina through a local scholarship organization. He enjoys sports and can be found many Saturdays coaching youth basketball.
James Heidbreder is a Managing Director with Coker Capital Advisors. Prior to joining Coker Capital in 2016, Mr. Heidbreder spent nearly 18 years working in healthcare investment banking at both boutique advisory as well as bulge bracket investment banking firms. He has deep experience evaluating, negotiating, and executing buy- and sell-side M&A assignments and a track-record of successfully raising debt and equity capital across Fortune 500, mid-sized, and start-up companies. During his career, Mr. Heidbreder has focused exclusively on the healthcare services sector across providers, payers, HCIT, distributors, and other services subsectors. Mr. Heidbreder has extensive experience helping both middle market and large cap healthcare services clients achieve their strategic and financial goals.
Previously, Mr. Heidbreder worked on GE Capital’s Healthcare Financial Services team where he led the coverage of Alternate Site healthcare providers. Prior to GE Capital, Mr. Heidbreder was a Managing Director in the healthcare investment banking group at RBC Capital Markets and FBR Capital Markets. He began his career from 2000-2008 in the healthcare group at JPMorgan.
Mr. Heidbreder earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics / Accounting from the College of the Holy Cross, holds an MBA from the University Of Michigan Ross School of Business, and is a Certified Public Accountant. Mr. Heidbreder lives in New York City with his wife and two children and enjoys coaching his children’s basketball and baseball teams in his spare time.
Steven Aguiar is a Managing Director at Coker Capital. He has nearly 15 years of healthcare investment banking experience. During his career, Mr. Aguiar has closed more than 50 healthcare transactions, most of which were sellside M&A transactions. He focuses on a wide range of sectors within healthcare services and digital health, including physician practice management, multi-site retail healthcare, post-acute care, pharmacy, behavioral health, revenue cycle management, and healthcare staffing.
Prior to joining Coker Capital, Mr. Aguiar worked for Provident Healthcare Partners. Mr. Aguiar is a graduate of Bentley University, where he received a Bachelor of Science in Corporate Finance and Accounting. He also earned his M.B.A. from the University of Texas at Austin.
Dan Davidson is a Managing Director with Coker Capital Advisors. With over fifteen years of corporate finance experience, Mr. Davidson has initiated and completed a variety of assignments for financial sponsors and healthcare companies. Prior to joining Coker Capital, Mr. Davidson worked in the healthcare group at Morgan Joseph & Co. where he was listed in the “Top 40 Under 40” investment bankers for 2010 by Investment Dealers’ Digest. Previously, he opened the Atlanta office for Jefferies & Company, where he provided a broad range of investment banking services to healthcare companies and financial sponsors. Prior to Jefferies & Co., Mr. Davidson held positions at CIT Healthcare and BNP Paribas, and began his career at Wachovia Securities, Inc. in its Capital Markets Group (now Wells Fargo Securities). Mr. Davidson served in the United States Marine Corps for 6 years, including service during the Persian Gulf War. He received a bachelor’s degree in Finance from Clemson University.
John Reiboldt is a Managing Director with Coker Capital Advisors. Prior to Coker Capital Advisors, Mr. Reiboldt spent more than 10 years with Coker Group, a leading management and strategic consulting firm focused upon the healthcare and life sciences industries. During his tenure, Mr. Reiboldt founded the firm's financial services group, which provided mergers and acquisitions and strategic financial advisory services to the healthcare industry. While leading the financial services group, Mr. Reiboldt executed numerous transactions and advisory assignments across a wide variety of healthcare subsectors, both domestically and internationally. In addition to his role with Coker Capital Advisors, Mr. Reiboldt holds board seats and observation rights with several privately-held healthcare companies.
Mr. Reiboldt earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in Economics at the University of Mississippi and his Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from The Robinson College of Business at Georgia State University. During his graduate and undergraduate studies, Mr. Reiboldt performed internships with Applied Financial Group, Inc. where he performed healthcare equity research; Nauset Biomedical Partners, LLC, a life sciences venture capital firm; and The Leadership Institute, a not-for-profit strategy group based in the greater Washington D.C. area.
Adrian Susmano is a Director with Coker Capital Advisors, where he has executed numerous transactions and financial advisory assignments for companies within the healthcare services and technology sectors. Mr. Susmano has almost 20 years of experience in the healthcare industry that has included management consulting where he assisted healthcare providers to build and implement process improvement and information technology strategies, equity research experience where he covered the Healthcare Information Technology and Distribution sector, and most recently investment banking experience where he has executed transactions across the banking and healthcare continuum. Mr. Susmano previously worked in the healthcare investment banking divisions of Lehman Brothers, Lazard, and MTS Health Partners.
Mr. Susmano received a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from the University of Wisconsin at Madison and a Masters in Business Administration from The Fuqua School of Business at Duke University with a concentration in Finance and Health Sector Management.
